Wonderful job lined up for tomorrow. New board and shower wire in an old stone-built house. Gas meter in the kitchen, water main cock in the bathroom both round the back. Shower upstairs in a distant corner. Electricity of course under the stair at the front. All brick walls and stone floors. And it's fully furnished to boot. Oh joy.

And as I can easily see the supply pipes and the internal plumbing are plastic I'm not overly convinced these ***** earths will do tuppence worth of good anyway.

Reminds me of some work I saw while at a property quoting for a submain to a workshop & spa.

Part flint part brick built 2 storey house with concrete floors downstairs & polished oak flooring upstairs, new extension at rear with cu at front under the stairs.
"P" approved Plumber had installed new power shower & because he didnt fancy taking up the oak flooring decided to take the 10mm T/E cable route direct. That was out the wall under the stairs, up the wall to the soffit all the way around the side & rear of the property(on the brickwork not on the soffit), dropped back down from the soffit to ground level then back into the new extension & into the new shower room to switch & shower.
To make it look extra nice both on verticle cable drops he'd used white 50mm trunking to enclose the T/E.

It's still there if I remember I'll take a snap of it when passing......didnt get the submain job either customer didnt like the price for 48mtrs of swa up the garden .

So Comms roughly how long was this run of 10mm (imitating the worlds largest roller coaster)?
