For those not conversant with the tester
3 lights =240v
4 lights=415v

Supply to dist board was 3Ph and N

Socket had worked for years before apparently blowing up someone's laptop

No one could be stupid enough to connect it up so wrong in the DB surely?

S'pose it could be an O/C neutral on the DB, but I reckon you'd notice that pretty quickly :lol:

Nice to see someone else with a proper approved voltage indicator :D

if that's true, I'd guess a floating neutral either recently happened or a compensating load on another phase has recently been removed.

what else is on that circuit? surely not just one socket?

It was brown paint from the fence.

You would not beleive what happened after I fixed it though
