When I turn on my hot water switch, the radiators get hot. I have had two Corgi registered fitters round to sort the problem out but to no avail.Have had new valve/pump plus other bits and pieces (over £500 !) and still back to square one ! Any suggestions would be most apreciated.

We need to know make/model type of system you are talking about before we can start to understand your problem.

I have a Potterton Suprima 9016 boiler which was linked into the existing system.I have also had a loft conversion (from a bungalow) with 1 rad upstairs(5 rads downstairs)Header tank is at least 5' above highest rad.
The potterton had a new Circuit board fitted(most recent Engineer).I originally asked him round to diagnose the problem and then to rectify it.It seems that rather than recognising the fault, he replaced parts that were obviously working correctly (otherwise the fault would have been cured)to try to cure the problem.
I'm not worried about how much I've spent,I just want hot water throughout summer(?) without heat.
If it looks as if I'm frustrated, you should see the wife(and hear her!!!)
Regards, Mike

Is it possible that one of the legs of the radiators has been tapped into one of the main flow / return pipes?, if not you're back looking at the valve.

As ollski says prob teed in wrong on return . From stone cold put just water on an when the rads start to get warm, feel about 12 inches away from heating motorised valve or heating leg of 3 port (towards rads) if it is cold then it is a return in wrong place if it is hot then valve is passing
