Hi,

We have a stench pipe running up the side of the house past the roof tiles.
The house is an end of terrace so the roof slopes down to front and back.
During the winter (our first in the house) the wind is banging the pipe against the tile edge. Other houses in the area have a kink in theirs taking the pipe out beyond the tiles.
I would like to install one like this but I am having difficulty finding a grey fixing or combination of fixings to do the job.
I was thinking of just shortening the pipe so it was below the small tile lip, but the girlfriends father said we would risk fumes getting into the house.

Would I need 2x 135degree and a double coupler or is there a standard fixing to do this in one. B&Q dont stock any of these so i will have to find a supplier online, suggested places would be appreciated. I live in South Wales Swansea to Cardiff area.

Sorry for the crude drawing. Pics are from www.toolstation.com

Cheers

Cheers for that, forgot to check Screwfix out.

Do you know if the combination of a Top Offset Bend and a 135degree single bend would work as I notice that the top offset looks like it has larger connections on both ends so I wouldn't need the extra double coupler

Its very similar, but there's hardly any lip, so only the first 2 joins would be necessary.
I've just found some photos of the house so I've attached it below.

As you can see the bracket is low enough to give the pipe enough length to vibrate in strong winds hitting the tiles.

I thought of that, but I didn't want to run the risk of it not solving the problem and have to go up there in the bad weather to fix it. I'd rather get it sorted once and for all, while the weather is good.

I don't like heights that much and there's an extension below where I need to put the ladder (I only have steps), so I dont relish doing it in the wind and rain, then possibly having to deal with a hole in the dining room ceiling.

You can also shorten your pipe as it only has to be 900 mm above the window and it looks a bit more than that. :D
