If I buy a second-hand, 4-ring induction hob, and the original fittings (clips? sealing tape?) are missing, is it possible to buy these separately?

Is there anything else I should know about fitting the hob (apart from minimum space required beneath and above, which I've already found out about).

The work would be done by the contractors 'refurbishing' my kitchen and the induction would replace a gas hob.

Many thanks,

I thought I'd add this info in case it should prove helpful to browsers here:

My contractors said they didn't need the tape to fit the hob with, they would use silicone. I wasn't happy and wrote to De Dietrich (the manufacturer of the hob) and I received this reply:

Under no circumstances must the hob be bedded onto silicone mastic.
It serves as a powerful adhesive and, should the hob need to be removed
for service at a later date, either the hob glass or the worktop may be
damaged.
Also, the mastic has insufficient 'flex' in a thin layer and can prevent
the glass for expanding and contracting properly - in extreme cases, it
can cause the glass to shatter.
The proper gaskets are readily available and your contractor should be
able to obtain one from their trade suppliers.
If not, Connect in Birmingham is a distributor to consumers and our
branded gasket can be obtained from them - tel: 0870-443-1899 and
request Part Number BNT75X5552 (though, due to the cost of centralised
stocking and handling, this is an expensive option).

HTH someone :)
