Guys, im trying to find out how much fork lift truck driver training course is for a novice any ideas thanks P M

I know its not really helpful but will give you an idea, I was lucky enough to have my previous firm pay for the course for a counterbalance fork lift truck which gave you a licence for 5 years and cost around £1500 with a refresher course around £500.
My new firm stupidly didnt take up the option to send me on a refresher course at a cheaper rate and allowed the licence to expire in 2003, I believe if in the future they do wish to send me back on a course that i will now have to do the full one again
The course I did was quite hard with a lot of precision driving and loaded turns on a sixpence within very tight circles of cones and other obstacles but satisfying to pass.

Forkinell, I thought the ACS were expensive.

Mind you that was the charge to the beeb so it was most probably cheaper than that then, mind you with inflation I wouldnt be surprised if it cost that still.

The guys stivino suggested sound like they are worth a try?
One thing to add though is the courses were based on several employees attending it rather than on a one to one basis and most importantly the truck was one the beeb already owned, I've found a lot of these trainers are self employed small firms and bring their knowledge NOT the equipment which is usually already on site, so hiring a truck for the day may be a hidden extra?
Just a thought.. do you think as he is unemployed he may be entitled to a govenment grant to help him get back to work as it must be benificial to both parties in the long run

I did contact job centre they have free courses but need to be on benefits for 6 months.

4 day course? Thats a great price, the one we did was 2 days.
