With reference to the installers fault where do think I stand , the boiler was installed 2 yrs ago and only serviced last Nov.
 
Its the installer's responsibility to fit the boiler on a clean system to BS7593.

If the HE is blocked by dirt thats his responsibility!

I fully guarantee any installation that I make so why should cowboys get away with it?

How long would you guarantee your work for Tony ? This boiler was installed nearly 2 yrs ago, is a blocked H/E something checked on a service as it was serviced in Nov 07

I would cover dirt in a system that I had installed for five years if owner occupied!

Thats of course if the problem is not caused by the filling loop being left open as often happens with tenants!

I would identify a partially blocked plate on a service as it would show up on the performance test but many would not! A BG flue analysis and leave would certainly not but thats only a safety check and not a service!

If you already got Baxi coming out then you might as well wait until he comes and having seen the problem can give you better advice then any of us. If its not covered as part of the warranty, but maybe he has one on the van, then maybe you might be able to "convince" him to fit one :wink: :wink:
Obvioulsy that doesn't solve your long term issues with system debris but it will get you out of a fix mean time :D

Will all depend on what engineer you get, I would change it because thats the type of person i am.(job done,Happy customer,Might even get a tip) I would then ask them to get the installer back to fit a Magnaclean.
But if you get a engineer who just wants to get home early you aint got no chance..........Good luck
