Blown PCB - Ideal ICOS M3080 - am i being fleeced?

I was recently charged £200 for the replacement PCB and the fix, with six months warranty (CORGI regd)

As all new boards I supply and fit come to me with a 12 month warranty and the same to any installer, I wonder why you only got 6 months

Perhaps they know there is a good chance of it going again between 6-12 months so can charge you all over again

Although I have to say, some of my boards have cost in excess of the original quote just for the PCB.

At 700 quid ish I would want more than a refurb board

I only ever get new boards to supply my customers. Didn't even realise you could get refurbed ones
