Hi All

My faithful washing let me down today when I was about to enjoy my hard earned day off. The machine is doing everything else but spin therefore not getting rid off the water in the drum.

What is the problem with it. Is it the pump or the main PCB. Can't see PCB being faulty when all other functions are working. I am sure someone will know. Help us out please guys.

filter blocked ,or sink waste pipe blocked first remove flap on front of mc and unscrew filter assy put loads of towels on the floor .water will come out of it ,you could also pull mc out and tilt backwards so water stays in drum till you have cleaned filter :)

Hi "rocks1"

Checked outlet and pump filter both not blocked and quite clean. Couldn't avoid spilling water on floor. Found a drain tube about 300 mm long attached to pump body. Would have been so easy to drain through the tube. I put it down to lack of experiance. How do I check if the pump is working.

to check pump put on spin you should here a humming noise ,unscrew filter and look inside, the impeller should be spinning round if its not going round pumps knacked

Hi"rocks1"

Managed to gain excess through pump filter cap. You are right the impellor didn't spin. I went further to take front panel off. Bingo draining and removing pump was a doodle. Looked in yellow pages for washing machine parts. Found one about three miles away.

Got new pump cost £45. Fitted and working. The boss is happy her machine is up and running and I am happy she is not nagging me. Thank you very much my man.
