Irregular opening pulling frame out of alignment

I didn't think sealant would hold it and it would want to be straight so works spring back when released but that hasn't been the case. I will try levering it gently

Irregular opening pulling frame out of alignment

I unscrewed the frame fixings but the frame has stayed where it was. Would you expect it to take a while to move if it has been held in a curve for several years? Should I lever it away from the opening?

Irregular opening pulling frame out of alignment

We have a sliding uPVC double door. There are gaps between the frame and the door allowing a draft. It appears to me that the opening is not square in that the top side of the opening is bowed upwards. Therefore when the frame was screwed to this it was pulled out of line, following the bow and...

    Good Quality LED Panel Brands

The problem is i don't particularly recognise any brands and each retailer just recommends what they sell. I'll stop by edmundsons and see what they have and if they can recommend something.

Ok, thanks. Still looking for some other recommendations as it still leaves 100 other manufacturers/brands I've never heard of to choose from!

    Good Quality LED Panel Brands

Hi, I am wondering if you could recommend good quality manufacturers/brands of LED panels and battens? Panels would be 600x 600, 'daylight' ~6500K, dimming not necessary for installation in a single garage, ~ 2.5m x 5m. Battens same spec, probably 4 or 5ft. There is currently one 5ft...

    Shower Tray Height (25/45mm)

Hello. I am having a new shower enclosure fitted as part of a bathroom renovation. We are going it have a Simpsons/crosswater design 8 offset quad enclosure and there are two different options of resin tray we are considering, a 25mm (SLQ91200L) and a 45mm (SRQ91200LH). It seems that lower trays...

What is the relevant answer John?

    1.5mm2 cable for single socket?

I think it's because a double socket would exceed the current rating. Rating is also less than 20a when concealed iirc.

    1.5mm2 cable for single socket?

Using 2x 1.5mm2 in parallel is discouraged I think. Due to the location in a boiler cupboard is unlikely that someone will try to run a heater. They'd have to walk past several more convenient sockets to access it.

    1.5mm2 cable for single socket?

Can I use 1.5mm cable to supply a single socket. Cable will run behind a plasterboard wall. Cable run will be about fifteen centimetres. Breaker is 20amp for the circuit. The intention is only to use to supply a low current device (home automation microprocessors).

Recessing a light pull switch into plaster coving

Do you mean the fan is activated only by motion or motion and humidity are required via PIR and humidistat? My ideal would for it to come on automatically with the shower and have a five minute manual switch for smelly evacuations.

Recessing a light pull switch into plaster coving

Exactly. My plan would be to fill the void behind the coving if it is exposed, which depends on the thickness and how far they're inset towards the wall, leaving a smooth curved surface. It will be mostly hidden by the switches anyway. The wrinkle will be if the coving were not well stuck on at...
