How to fix this dripping tap?

Hi guys This tap has started dripping. If I push the left tap hard to close it stops dripping (but soon starts again!). Presumably its the washer. How do I fix it? Do I need to turn the mains off? What washer size do you think? Many thanks for any advice.

    Anti-slip solution for a patio?

Hi guys Ive got a slate patio. Each year, in the winter months, I nearly always come a cropper on it! Its so slippy! This year Ive decided to actually do something about it. Can you recommend a decent anti-slip solution? Preferably something I can just brush on that will stop it from being so...

Ah I see! So what do you think I could do? Brush the salt away? Keep brushing it away as it comes to the surface? Overpaint it?

Why is this damp ring keep reappearing!?

Hi all, 2 years ago I had a salt lamp on this alcove shelf. It got humid and the salt lamp 'sweated' and formed a pool on the shelf. I removed the salt lamp, mopped-away surface water and put dehumidifier on for 48 hours. The mark disappeared. Its been fine over summer, but now its getting...

    Leak behind soffit boards

Im afraid not (without great expense). My other sills- the original ones - have a groove along the bottom edge so the water drips off them.

    Leak behind soffit boards

Hi guys, thought Id post an update. I managed to stuff a mixture of eave fillers and some spare floor installation I had. Its now fully bunged-up: I will try bending some drip loops into the sheets (I havnt had time yet as Ive been away) and will look into removing that rubber overhang thing...

    Leak behind soffit boards

This is what I bought: https://www.cladco.co.uk/fixings-and-accessories/pairs-of-profiled-foam-fillers-to-fit-34-1000 Each length has 2 parts to it. I only fitted one 'half' to it otherwise it completely wouldnt fit. I was trying this as it was raining heavily so was in a bit of a rush. When...

    Leak behind soffit boards

Ugh! Ive just tried fitting the foam filler (for my 34/1000 profile sheets) and theres too much slack on the thin section! (the highers sections fit fine): Ive contacted the foam filler company and they say its not the right measurements for their 34/1000 profile. I presumed all 34/1000...

    Leak behind soffit boards

Ive just taken some photos. This will give you an idea to context and the roof pitch: A related concern I now have is if the water is tracking back into the cob where the roof line meets the wall. Im assuming they put flashing along that roof line. When I cleaned the gutter out yesterday...

    Leak behind soffit boards

Yesterday I removed that rubber thing and cleaned all the gunk out of the gutter. Ive left the soffit off so hopefully it will dry. (we've got a few days of dry/breezey weather which is ideal). I also bought some eave fillers which will arrive on wednesday. Not sure what the pitch is. Ill go...

    Leak behind soffit boards

Hi guys, A quick update: Ive taken the soffit boards down and have them drying. (I presume its ok to leave them off for a few days. Gotta be better than leaving them on there and letting the beams/render rot): That odd rubber thing only extended to the nut. So the water was just getting...
