Wood burner and extractor in same room??

Update. Speaking to building control and a hetas installer about this installation. You do have to fit an extractor to external when fitting a new kitchen and building control know about it the way round it is to fit a drimiser system. Other ways are to fit a extractor to external but...

Wood burner and extractor in same room??

I won't be using the extractor fan as the food we cook doesn't smell but BC require an extractor to be fitted above the hob even though we don't want one. The additional ventilation is for the log burner as it will be over 5kw but I will be ducting it to the back of the woodburner or very...

Wood burner and extractor in same room??

//www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=222500 Found this from google but it is nearly two years old. They now have made carbon monoxide alarms compulsory since then so this would alarm the user if the extractor effected the flue pull on certain days.

Wood burner and extractor in same room??

I just need some advice on clearing my situation up. Im in the process of doing a rear extension and making downstairs all open plan (but leaving the hall with the stair case in for fire route), so it will be lounge, dining room and kitchen. The room will be 45 sq m of floor space. The wood...

    Drain nightmare!

That sounds like it possible that it can be worked around v's replaced the whole soil stack. My main fear was having to run a new soil stack and having to repipe my just finished bathroom. Thanks everyone :D

    Drain nightmare!

I dont know about the footing been correct yet as ive only just started digging, to find the mass of pipework. I have been digging to the spec given by my architect then seen as i found clay so soon i was confident that 750mm would be deep enough (hit clay about 200mm down)

Heating only works when hot water is on.

From what you say, the ch valve doesnt sound like its fully opening on demand so therefore not making the end swtich and firing the boiler. Could be a head swap or maybe head and body depends on make.

    Drain nightmare!

Thats fine and i have done that, BC application only just gone in as planning just passed last couple of days. The main concern was that i would have to fit a new external soil stack because i would have to re-run all my internal waste pipes to it. Creating more work and more cost. Is a...

    Drain nightmare!

Ive just seen your edit re permission. I thought this but a "mate" told me that yorkshire water has no changed the rules. If the drain is within you property then all repair costs are down to the house owner.

    Drain nightmare!

I was unaware that the drain would be there, on my drainage search it shows the main drain the street, the i knew it went down the side of the house (found it while digging). I also knew the kitchen outlet would be in the way but i assumed it would be the only one, so i could just cut it back...

    Drain nightmare!

There is a big difference between cheap and £250 per hour. I feel you have read my comments wrong, if redherring feels the same way then i will rewrite it. Ive not contacted him, as i assumed it would be more of a building issue than an architects.

    Drain nightmare!

Already got an architect and he doesnt charge that hourly rate, feel sorry for you if you pay that amount!!! I also help people on this forum (as i do on many other forums) for free and give my time, what valid point does that have here. There is nothing in my post showing disrespect for...

    Drain nightmare!

I took from your reply that the first post was too bad for you to understand, so i have editted to the basic question, to which you asked for. Is the exisitng connection from your soil stack to the drain run a simple 45° junction? Yes, the angles on the first diagram are how the pipes...
