    Connect BT Dropwire to CW1308

Yeah there's a small amount of exposed copper outside the crimp. Is there a junction box that can be fitted externally? As there is not enough drop wire to come into the house for one of the boxes you listed above.

    Connect BT Dropwire to CW1308

I have some old figure 8 dropwire coming into my house through my window frame. Each cable then goes into a jelly crimp joining it to some CW1308 cable that goes to my master socket. I need to remove the window frame as it's old an rotten, so will need to disconnect the cables and then re...

    Help Stopping a Leak

Thanks Bob The meter still works fine, it's just leaking at the join highlighted. Could I just remove the hole stop cock part and have it come in through the meter bottom and straight out the top?

    Help Stopping a Leak

Hi there I have a leak under my kitchen sink, and I'm looking to fix it before I redo my kitchen. I have attached an image and have circled in red where the leak is coming from. I'm a little confused how it's all working, water is coming in from the bottom, then I assume it goes right around...

    Extractor Fan Wiring

Afternoon Looking at how to wire my bathroom timed extractor fan. I know I need Live, Switched Live and Neutral to my isolator, but all diagrams have you coming off the ceiling rose for the bathroom light. This makes sense to me but my bathroom light has a single wire coming in from a 4-way...

    DIY Bath Panel/Frame

Hi I'm looking for advice regarding a bath panel I'm attempting to build. My corner bath left a small amount of room at both sides that I thought I would box in. I've built a frame and fixed plywood to the top, but was unsure what to sit on top of the ply. I was initially going to tile but...

Blockage at bottom of Soil Stack

Annoyingly the joint is under my path. Might have to get it dug up to get to it.

Blockage at bottom of Soil Stack

Today I had my old 3 inch waste stack removed, so a new 4 inch one could be installed and a new toilet connected up to it. The 3 inch was connected to a 4 inch pipe at the base, so was expecting this to be quite a simple job. However it appears as if there is an obstruction in the drain a few...

    Radiator Positions

Hi there Just looking for some thoughts on where I should position the radiators in my house. I've attached a rough floor plan below, with the red rectangles showing where I was going to put them. Does this look OK? Cheers

    Bathroom Shelf

Hi there There is a small gap between the edge of my bath and the wall. I am planning to put some kind of shelf in to hide the gap (see picture). Originally I was going to use cement board and tile on top of it, but have decided it would look better if it was curved to match the shape...
