Replacing Kitchen Fridge & Fan Switches

Thanks Eric. I'd be buggered if I can find a fuse though. As there's not one on the unit and would hate to think someone has tied one into the cable behind the wall somehow :( So if I needed to replace the unit then I'm looking for a 'fused' double grid switch? (just need to know the...

Replacing Kitchen Fridge & Fan Switches

Currently have a labelled triple switch unit in the kitchen, one for the fridge/freezer, one for cooker extractor fan and one blanked off (no fuse evident) After having a new kitchen fitted we did away with a separate extactor fan and the cable leading to the old extractor fan was blanked off...

Radiators Hot even when room thermostat is set to 10 degrees

Our thermostat for the central heating is the lounge and is set to 10 degrees ie I assume boiler shouldn't heat the central heating until temp drops below 10 degrees (Boiler also heats the hot water). Problem is the upstairs en-suite radiator (next to the boiler housing) is red hot, switch...

    Conservatory Electrics Connumdrum!!!!

Ok, not sure if this will help BUT........ Noticed when I reset the electrics for the fan/light unit via the fused spur then which ever I use first stops the other from working ie..... switch on the lights first the fan does work, switch on fan first the lights don't work. :? :? :?

    Conservatory Electrics Connumdrum!!!!

Thanks for the quick response. The fan is a puzzle in that ALL of the electric was switched off at the mains about 3 weeks ago (had some another work done, nothing to do with conservatory) and everything was ok after that (except for the usual remote control issue).

    Conservatory Electrics Connumdrum!!!!

Hi Guys, Got a weird problem with the conservatory electrics. I have a combined Fan/Light from the Conservatory ceiling (linked to a fused spur socket). Last year the remote control stopped working the lights or fan (battery tested ok and even tried a new battery), could see the remote...

    Kitchen Cupboards on studded walls

Hope this is in the correct forum, apologies if not  Wife wants extra cupboard space on the kitchen walls but the only spaces left are on studded walls. We already have some cupboards on one studded wall but without taking them off (not replacing these) then I'm not sure of the best...

    Underfloor Heating Problem

Hi Guys, Have had underflooring heating in the conservatory installed working off a Aube TH132F Thermostat but having issues with temperature control ie if I set the 'comfort' to 26C or even 30C it never reaches more than 19C, the 'economy' setting seems to work fine ie set it to 12C and it...

    Hotpoint dishwasher not draining properly

Just a thought and it may be way off the mark but I had a similar problem. Where does the outlet pipe go to?, does it attach to the sink outlet? I had an intermitent issue with none draining when I had the sink full of water and the dishwasher on, don't ask me how but it wouldn't drain...
