Currently have a labelled triple switch unit in the kitchen, one for the fridge/freezer, one for cooker extractor fan and one blanked off (no fuse evident)

After having a new kitchen fitted we did away with a separate extactor fan and the cable leading to the old extractor fan was blanked off with a terminal block.

Wife decided she now wanted some under cupboard lights so I thought the old extrator fan cable would be ideal as it's already connected to the old 'fan' switch so as she can switch them on and off as required.

Problem: The cable from the 'fan' switch seems to be dead, have checked the terminal live feed into the 'fan' switch and it's defo live but no power from when the switch is press to the old cable. It was live when it was blanked off so thinking that it may be a faulty 'fan' switch.

I can't find anywhere that sells these units (labelled Fridge/Freezer and Fan) so does anyone know where I can get one from OR replace it with a different unit that just has 2 switches (no plug socket required).?

Thanks

Grid switches are available in most whole sale outlets but I would guess there with be a fused connection unit (FCU) somewhere and I expect the fuse has been removed as one would not normally run a fan on a 20 amp supply that feeds the grid switch.

Thanks Eric.

I'd be buggered if I can find a fuse though. As there's not one on the unit and would hate to think someone has tied one into the cable behind the wall somehow :(

So if I needed to replace the unit then I'm looking for a 'fused' double grid switch? (just need to know the correct terminology when I go looking for one).

Cheers
