Cannot work out why there is only one fuse in the grid...

if the fridge/freezer and washing machine have a plug and socket connection then that will provide the fuse so there is little point in a second one. The cooker hood on the other hand is probablly wired in so it makes sense to put the fuse for it in the grid.
 
What I'm saying is that while they had the opportunity, they could have put all the fuses above the 'tops...
 
Either that, or the whole lot is spur and the fuse protects the whole lot

Don't like the full size rocket switch for the fridgefreezer though, if I was doing it, I'd probably try and use one of those 'secret' key switches
