    Driveway sealing / surfacing

About 3 years ago, we had our driveway re tarmaced and then covered with bitumen tar and chip, with loose shingle on top. To be honest, i'm now fed up with the loose pea shingle and want a solid surface again. I swept an area of the loose shingle off and ther remaining surface is the...

    Sealing gravel driveway?

OK - about 3 years ago we had our driveway "tar and chipped", so there is a layer of 10mm shingle stuck to the tarmac with some loose on top. The trouble is that there is too much loose on top, and as we own a caravan it is a struggle to get grip while pushing out as it is on a slight...

    Flat roof ventlation

Thanks for the advise. I have a chalet bungalow with a flat roof extension on the back so in effect the ceiling joists run from from eves to back. There's no vents in the front soffits either, so i guess i would be wise to fit some in there too.

Cold roof / warm roof - does it matter??

Thanks for your advise. Seeing as i've already purchased the 100mm celotex i need to pursue the cold roof option What do you mean by 'foil tape the joists'? Also can i place the round vents in the fascia board, as the soffit is not wide enough? Cheers

Cold roof / warm roof - does it matter??

Hi all, I have a 22' x 14' flat roofed extension that i am currently renovating. When i initially removed all the ceiling plasterboard, the roof void was filled with old insulation and appeared to have minimal ventilation., although no damp / condensation was evident. As i build back...

    Flat roof ventlation

Can i place ventilation discs in the fascia board rather that the soffit? The reason that i ask, it that it is for a flat roof, where the overhang and therefore the 'soffit' board is only about 2" in depth and not big enough for the discs Thanks

Thanks - but the picture didnt seem to come through? I also found these, would they be sufficient? http://www.thelightingsuperstore.co.uk/product.asp?productid=18114 They are 7W - would this lead to a big reduction in light? I assume that the low energy lights run cooler too?, and...
