Can i place ventilation discs in the fascia board rather that the soffit?

The reason that i ask, it that it is for a flat roof, where the overhang and therefore the 'soffit' board is only about 2" in depth and not big enough for the discs

Thanks

Hi Yes you can. but be aware you need to achieve air circulation. This normally means venting roof at opposing ends. The roof joists form a series of ducts which in some cases do not allow air to pass from one to another. It is difficult to be more helpful without more information.
Good Luck

Thanks for the advise. I have a chalet bungalow with a flat roof extension on the back so in effect the ceiling joists run from from eves to back. There's no vents in the front soffits either, so i guess i would be wise to fit some in there too.
