It could well be an exterior smooth paint, the texture looks to be the actual wall not the paint. If it’s peeling like that I’d say the wall are powdery, rub your fingers over the exposed part of the wall, do you get residue on your fingers; like a whiteish dust?

Cheers for the name, It was an edge crack and a corner hole. Did a bit more inspecting and the whole lot needs replacing so I'm going to reboard it and fibreglass it.
