I just stirred the paint as per instructions on side of tub. Shall i try scrapping the flaky bits off, washing with sugar soap and painting again? I wish i...

    Painted walls

No, just stirred it and put the 1 coat of white and 1 of magnolia. It looks like the walls had been painted with silk previously but there is lots of bit here and there missing which came off with the wallpaper.

    Painted walls

My wallpapering skills are not that good, so am going to try scrapping the bad bits off. They are only small bits that have lifted here and there. I used white matt Crown paint as the first coat and then magnolia Crown matt again over the top, and it needs another coat as it was green walls...

Can a plumber advise me please? i have a 2 bed flat on one level built in 1963. Would you think it wise to replace the mains, hot and cold pipes being as they are so old. Storage heater not working

Can someone tell me what could go wrong with an old style storage heater? There is a wire - thin with 2 strands - from a wall thermostate that has come disconnected from a electrical box next to the heater, would this be the only cause do you think? I have tried to use it but it is just not...

    Leaking pipe

Thanks for your advise guys! The flat is on a communal insurance as it forms a part of an estate and is just renewed annually for everyone, so do you think it would be covered as such? Is it best to say the leak is new then rather not knowing? As to be honest because the pipes was under laminate...
