Honeywell S Plan upgrade to smart controller

Hello all. Hoping for a bit of advice. My central heating system is a classic vented system installed about 30 years ago. It was based on the Honeywell S plan. Over the years with various extensions, etc., it now comprises 3 x hot water tanks and 2 x C Heating zones. Hot water tanks and ch zones...

    Electronic cabinet locks

Well, a brief update: I've given up trying to work out how to do a hard reset. I took the unit apart (see below) and have tried various approaches to reset. The two holes (which are not screw holes) are over the beeper (the round object with the + sign on it) and directly over the USB housing...

    Electronic cabinet locks

@old duffer when you say 'one will be for', it sounds like you don't think it is a short across the two. There doesn't appear to be a micro switch in there. So do it need a voltage in there from somewhere or something?

    Electronic cabinet locks

Thanks for the replies and apologies for the delayed follow-up. Been away. So, firstly, @sparkymarka, yes, i'm sure I've set public mode according to the instructions I received with the locks. I've just been through the process again and there is (i) no doubt the process was followed...

    Electronic cabinet locks

Unfortunately, the eBay listing is no longer available. Something similar is available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Garosa-Electronic-Cabinet-Password-Security/dp/B07GVM394Y/ref=asc_df_B07GVM394Y/ and here: https://tinyurl.com/ys66dhm6 with partial manual.

    Electronic cabinet locks

Hi all Back in 2021, I purchased a number of 'Electronic Cabinet Locks' (see pic below) from eBay for a project. For those interested, the idea was a kind of cheap Amazon locker distribution mechanism for a sports club. The club locks a purchase in a locker and programs a unique 4 digit code...

Replace Emersion Heater in Dist Board?

Thanks. The dist boards do have all power circuits protected by RCDs but it's a good point that this may need to be upgraded/renewed/etc.

Replace Emersion Heater in Dist Board?

Hello all I'm looking to put in a jacuzzi which will require a 20a fuse. My distribution boards are full (i have two as it is an old house renovated/extended in 2 main phases). However each board has a dedicated slot for a hot water tank emersion heater from where the wire runs exclusively to...

    HIKVision parts

Brief update in case it helps anyone in the future. The HikVision DS-2CD2355FWD-I is now obsolete and has, allegedly, been replaced with the DS-2CD2365G1-I. If you are temped to replace a DS-2CD2355FWD-I with a DS-2CD2365G1-I be aware that it isn't a direct replacement. The bracket head diameter...

    Hikvision Doorbell/App

I used to have a HIKVision doorbell & App. I had a long delay between the doorbell being pressed and it ringing on my phone. I was researching this and found a post which suggested that, if you've upgraded the app, you need to delete the doorbell from the app and re-install it as if it was new...

    HIKVision parts

Hello all Slight mishap with a HikVision DS-2CD2355FWD-I. It had water ingress to the camera area (the picture was misty) so i took it to pieces and dried it out. While putting it back togehter i managed to break the ribbon cable connecting the camera head with the body (see picture). Does...

Upgrade of Accenta G3 to Texecom project notes

Understand that - however the existing 20 yr old wiring had 3 PIRs per zone and i wan't about to rip the house apart to change it. My software and electrical skills are decent. My plastering skills non-existent and i positively hate painting ;)

Upgrade of Accenta G3 to Texecom project notes

@secureiam the answer is that i didn't really understand EOL when i commenced the project and simply wired it the way I'd wired it 20 years previously (in my 'youthful' exuberance I'd left my future self copious notes) which I now regret. I fully accept that EOL is superior and I'm not using all...
