My problem is that when asleep in bedroom, I am often not woken by any false alarm (almost always made by cat, which is another problem!). That means I often don't get to it to turn it off, potentially annoying neighbours, or be warned of any security issue.
The siren itself is actually...
My heating doesn't come on some evenings and when I check the boiler I see it has a pressure of maybe 0.5 or less. I therefore increase pressure by opening the left-hand one of two taps below it and increase pressure to about 1 or 1.2. This seems to work. The next day it's about 0.5 again...
Thanks for opinions. Excuse my ignorance, isn't Saniflo more for dealing with waste coming out rather than water coming in. Or maybe they do water-pumps too?
Anyway, the noise is definitely not coming from near waste pipes, but internal water pipes.
In fact, I have found out since...
I wonder if anyone can suggest what is causing an irritating plumbing noise in my flat.
The property is a five-story, four-flat converted Victorian house in a London area where water -pressure is known to be low, especially at top of house. I am at the bottom of building and the mains water...
My Zanussi dryer TD 4234 W (over 10 years old) is collecting very much more fluff in the lint-traps than it used to. Is this a cause for concern. It tends to get on clothes, but not a big problem. Otherwise works perfectly. I looked in vent-hose, but cannot see any problem.
Just concerned...
Maybe my experience of Thermonet will help.
I have fitted two different rooms with underfloor heating.
1. With Thermonet, in the first room, I found the underfloor element extremely fragile and liable to break. If you do that, you will have to buy a repair kit and fix, a fiddly and...
Could a knowledgeable roofer or builder confirm what are the causes of the problems indicated in the photos shown here.
Problem is beneath a fourth-floor pitched roof above a rear stairwell, where there is extensive damp penetration. House is 4-storey Victorian end-of-terrace. First photo...
thanks... I did take the lid off and saw the kind of white right-angled armature you describe. There is a sort of knob in a housing half way along.... is this what should be adjusted? How would you know how to set it?
Machine is a Zanussi FLI 1012. I noticed that the fabric conditioner I was putting in just stayed there, and my suspicion that no water was getting to it was confirmed when I put a bit of kitchen paper in its place, which stayed dry or almost. I have tried cleaning out old conditioner from...
