hi lostinthelight ive uploaded some pics of my starter also a clip on youtube just so you can see my issue like i said it turns over just . im sure it shouldnt struggle though as the battrey is a 5.5amp new one also tested the wires and its shhowing 12.8v at the starter with the wires removed...

I'll post some pics up later as I'll pop it off and do some pics the wiring goes via a limited switch for the flywheel brake I did bypass all that and put power direct to the starter and it was the same so guessing it must be the starter .it does work just not like new if you know what I mean...

well today ive removed the flywheel and all is good there no broken keyway :) also tryed the mower with a charged power pack and it seems to turn over slowly but did go so ordered a new 5.5 ah battrey so will check power when turning over then .is there a charge circuirt on the mower then...
