Boiler pressure dropping so it cuts off once a day

Update – heating has been on the whole time and the boiler is staying on for at least 24 hours a time now. I'm having to increase pressure if we don't use hot taps for quite a few hours now. Will obviously a professional round but would that behaviour suggest what might be at fault? Is there...

Boiler pressure dropping so it cuts off once a day

Thanks - so the whistling noise and the pressure loss are unrelated? Any risk of damaging anything if I keep opening the valves to increase pressure? Will get a professional round after Easter

Boiler pressure dropping so it cuts off once a day

Nope, when we switched the boiler off it stopped dripping - no drips at all after less than an hour

Boiler pressure dropping so it cuts off once a day

Thanks for the reply Terry Ecotec Pro 24 Pressure was at about 1.5 but dropped to maybe 1 with the heating on No pipes show any signs of expelling water - we only noticed the water leaking from the condenser pipe and since that was pushed back it's been fine

Boiler pressure dropping so it cuts off once a day

Hi all Noticed the condenser pipe had come out of the bottom of our boiler a couple of days ago so switched the boiler off for a day and then realised it was an easy fix so pushed the pipe back into place. When I put the boiler back on again I noticed the pressure was low so opened the valves...

Increasing water pressure - which tap is which?

Hi all - I need to increase water pressure on my boiler and I know I need to open one tap fully and then slowly open another but I'm not sure which is which o_O Picture attached - am I right to think the top one I open first, fully, and then the one on the left I slowly adjust?

    Digging up concrete front garden

Hi all, Our front garden is a bit of a state - it's concrete and someone has tried filling some of it, which has made it worse. I have a feeling we'll need to get a professional in, but I thought I'd check first - can anyone recommend what you'd need to do to dig this up and make it tidier...

Replaced washers and water is now hammering on one tap

Hi all, Replaced washers on both sides of a leaking kitchen tap, switching the water off at the mains. I've switched the cold water tap back on and the water is discoloured, then 'hammering' out - making the pipes move with big gaps in the water stream. Weirdly it looks like steam or smoke...

    Stripping steps on my stairs

Thanks - have you used it before? Would you say to use it just in the middle?

    Stripping steps on my stairs

I've had bare steps in a few houses and I've never found them a slip hazard

    Stripping steps on my stairs

Hi all - does anyone have any other ideas?

    Stripping steps on my stairs

Thanks - the aim was to leave the whole thing bare, yes. Would that work with wood bleach?

    Stripping steps on my stairs

Hi all I've used paint stripping gel to remove white paint from the steps of my stairs (still needs work but it's getting there)... The middle of the stairs were originally covered with carpet so as you can see from the pic the wood colouring is different, but I'd like to keep the steps in...
