Isolate circuit from the mains then disconnect one of the wires feeding an element and use a continuity tester (bellset or lamp and battery) across the terminals of the element, if it rings /lights the element is ok, reconnect the wire and do the same for the other element. A simple continuity...

Contact Sky customer services they will help you, I suspect as post above that some form of isolation has occured on the leg feeding the kitchen.

Whereabouts in London was it put on show? I seem to remember seeing it in a showroom window of some sort you could go in and walk round it.

You could invest in one of those sock bags , put all your socks into it before placing in the machine?
