It was a switch like this one, wired just like a plug.

No, that’s what I want to wire it into. It was just a clicker type switch so I wanted it to look better in a normal light switch. It’s isolated until I know which way to wire it in.

It’s just a normal one way light switch that I want to use. I have twin and earth cable on each side of it. Would the earth just be connected together and not go into the switch?

I have an inline switch that I would like to wire into a light switch fitting to smarten it up. Which way should it be wired up? Live L1 / Neutral Comm maybe but what about the earth too?

It’s straight against normal plasterboard, it’s all going to be ripped out and replaced later this year, just needed it patched up to use in the mean time.

Would roughly inside the green outline be the best place to silicone? That leaves a gap for water to run back into the tray still and will seal the glass to the tray on the outside

I’ve inherited a leaking shower and after removing the glass and the rotten seal on the bottom of it I’ve found the hole it’s been getting through. Where is best to reseal the glass to the tray/glass holder on the wall? The corner of the holder was full of silicone so the water couldn’t escape...

I’m trying to level the floor in a bedroom but it runs properly downhill. Is it a problem to just sister the joists together when it’s dropped around 1 1/2 inches within the first 5 feet?

I think the conservatory is around 10 years old. I’ll have a look for some markings for the different types of glass. At least they should do that and aren’t blown panels, I didn’t want to replace the glass for nothing.

I have a few double glazing panes that are misting up in this colder weather but it’s not between the panes, it’s on the outside. Is there some way to fix them?it seems strange that only these four have the same pattern to them.

Plumber has tried turning the hot water temp down to see if it helps. It sounded like it had a lot of air in the pump but the radiators are all bled.it’s set to 50c to try for now.

I’ve tried it with the kitchen tap which is just hot water only and it still does the same. I thought it might be the mixer valve causing problems but it’s been fine for the last few weeks since install.
