CLS timber thickness (38mm) vs insulation board thickness (30 or 40mm)?

Hi, I am planning to dry-line an exterior wall in my old house. Something that is confusing me: there is a bit of a mismatch between the thickness of CLS timber and the rigid insulation board. 3x2" CLS timber is 38mm thick, Kingspan TP10 comes in 30mm and 40mm thicknesses. I appreciate it's...

Hi all, apologies for the delay, I was waiting for the house to be empty over the Christmas break to play around with it some more and then completely forgot about this! Secure I AM: Area A = Entry/Exit Area B = Instant I changed Area B to Timed Exit and it armed both areas once the front door...

Texecom Premier Elite not arming properly

I like the suggestion, but the diagnostics in Wintex show the zone activating/deactivating when I open and close the door.

Texecom Premier Elite not arming properly

Hi sparky, yes the exit tone just keeps going. Area A is set to Entry/Exit and I do indeed open the door, step outside and then close the front door.

Texecom Premier Elite not arming properly

Hi, my alarm panel has been out of use for a year or so (building work being done) and now I am trying to start using it again. I have two Areas: A = Internal PIRs (and front door), B = Exterior doors. I have a single keypad. When I try to arm the panel and exit, Area B (part) arms quite...

Texecom Premier Elite - alarm triggered immediately if exit interrupted

Thanks everyone for your replies. To answer some of the comments: Sparkymarka: Yes, you are right, this is arming fail, not a full alarm trigger. But the keypad does make the same noise as a full alarm. Not sure if this triggers the external bells as it is currently switched off. Would you...

Texecom: How does one install/run Texbase and Montex

Sorry, yes I was also referring to Texbase/Montex. My problem is that my internet is from Virgin Media and could be easily disabled by cutting the cable via the small service cover on the pavement out the front of my house. I can already access Wintex via remote desktop and it would appear...

Texecom: How does one install/run Texbase and Montex

Hi, unfortunately I cannot check it. I was hoping it would work with com-usb (that I have already) but it would appear that I require com-gsm or com-ip (neither of which I have).

Texecom: How does one install/run Texbase and Montex

I found BDE Administrator in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Borland Shared\BDE. I then created a new database, STANDARD, PARADOX and then set the path as you described. I then loaded Texbase and it seems to be ok. I'll give it a go and let you know! Thanks, Kevin

Thanks for the reply - how do I set up the database? I have an email address that isn't hotmail or gmail. What will I need it for? Thanks, Kevin

Texecom: How does one install/run Texbase and Montex

Hi, I have just installed Texbase 2.8 and Montex 2.11 that came on the CD I got with my Com-USB cable. I am now trying to run Texbase (as administrator) but I get the following error before anything loads: "Exception EDBEngineError in module Texbase.exe Unknown Database Alias: Texbase"...

    Spray painting very slow

Hi, I thin with water, and I clean with water afterwards using an abrasive pad and the hose pipe to flush all the paint out.
