SUCCESS !!!
It was a blockage after all. Having checked all the pipes (removed them and flushed them through) all that was left to check was a plastic rectangular unit mounted in the rear of the interior.
It is approximately 18 " high x 3" wide x 2" deep, has a 1" pipe to the bottom from the...
Thanks once again for the suggestions.
I have now disconnected all hoses and flushed them through, hardly any muck came out so no problem there.
Removed soap drawer and removed top plate.
Removed the "Water Path Control Unit" (at the back of the soap drawer) and separated the motor section...
Many thanks for taking the time to reply
I haven't actually removed the hoses but given them all a good squeeze and felt nothing inside. I will remove them on Monday (busy family weekend).
As mentioned previously, when I first select "Separate Rinse" programme the water passes through the soap...

Problem with my Miele Novotronic 310 washing machine.
Water escapes from the detergent drawer and cascades down the front of my machine.
With no washing in the machine (as a test) I select 'Separate Rinse' and the water enters the machine via the detergent drawer with no...

Will be moving into our next house in the near future and would appreciate views and suggestions on what would be a decent burglar alarm system to buy / install.
I am a retired electrician so still (hopefully) have enough grey matter floating around to deal with the installation...
Me again
I gave the pump a tap with a large adjustable spanner and it spluttered and whined (loudly), halted briefly then started turning again.
Unfortunately it hasn't cured the problem so I think I will bite the bullet and fit a new pump. God knows how old the existing one is ...
Hello craftor
There are no zone valves or anything of the sort. It is a very basic system and badly needs updating.
System consists of a boiler, basic timer/programmer, circulating pump in airing cupboard and radiators plus heated towel rail in bathroom
Thank you for taking the time to...
Any suggestions please ?
Moved into a house a couple of years ago that had air continually circulating no matter how much radiators were bled
Recently had a leaking radiator valve (bedroom upstairs and furthest from the boiler) so drained down system and replaced. Refilled system from make...

I have an increasingly loud droning sound coming from my shower pump which is only 5 months old. It has worked fine until recently.
The pump is a Salamander CT50+ Twin Positive Head Shower Pump with Isolators 1.5bar
The pump is located on the floor of the airing cupboard...

I am looking at installing a shower over the bath.
There is a shower attachment from the bath mixer tap assembly and when I hold it up to the required height I would say the pressure is borderline for a decent shower.
The airing cupboard backs onto the end of the bath where...
WHAT A CHAMPION !!!
Thanks a million for not only a prompt reply but an excellent piece of guidance. Working fine now that I have reset the clock.
Something so simple and yet so important. I don't suppose it would have been in the paperwork, even if I had some !

Any suggestions please ?
The element in the main oven burnt out (hole blown in its side) so I replaced it. The small top oven works as normal but nothing on the main oven.
I opened up the casing expecting to find a blown fuse or a reset - nothing like that in circuit anywhere.
The...
Thanks very much for the reply.
Having a bit of trouble with my computer at the moment but will try to post a picture if and when possible.
Hopefully 7K to 8K should cover it on those approximations

This is probably too 'loose' a question for an answer but I will ask it anyway.
I am thinking of putting in an offer to buy a 3 bedroom bungalow. It looks as if the existing roof tiles need replacing and there is no existing felt. I am therefore wondering if it is possible to get a VERY...
