Well the warix flange I have bought has now had all of the corners sheered off from trying to tighten it!
It needs at least another full turn before it's properly tight.....
The iron nipple may re-instate the thread?

Having removed the original 3/4 inch connector in the top of the cylinder to replace it with a warix flange for the shower pump (the pump had originally been t'd from the down pipe from the vent and was creating air locks a sa result) the warix flange will not go in and now nor will...
They are copper Nige and also the bath was pobably originally fitted a bit before the wonder of flexible hoses. I suppose thinking about it they are slightly off from straight up....they can be removed then :D

I am just replacing a bath - the hot and cold come up through the floor directly beneath where the taps are but rather than have the pipework going straight up to the taps they have too large u bends in them - the come up 3 inches, go off at a right angle for 6 inches, up a further 3 inches and...
Anyone got any recommendations for a good shower pump where we have tank fed cold and cylinder fed hot water? Was thinking of trying one of the new Stuart Turner ones - http://www.stuart-turner.co.uk/products/showermate/s18-bar-twin

Im going to help a friend add a couple of new rads. He only has rads upstairs and wants a couple in his living room on the ground floor.
He has a back boiler behind his fireplace. Are they tank fed or do they have a mains feed like on a combi? He doesn't seem to know...
the previous cubicle had been done just in plasterboard so it's all come down. I think i'm going to go with aquapanel and then take it down again in a years time if we want to :? I'll try to convince her not to :wink:

I am about to re do the shower cubicle. Currently we just want to put up some plain white tiles and then re do the whole bathroom next year.
I guess that I would be best to use Marine Ply rather than aquapanel if the tiles are going to come done in a year or so. Any...
the rad heats up fine and is hot all over - it really isn't anything more than a slight annoyance at the moment - just wanted to make sure that it wasn't something that needed attention.
