As title suggests, I have nowhere to attach cleats at both ends because the bottom of the posts are rotten. Is the only answer to attach much longer cleats up the post or is there another solution? I’m not changing the posts!
Did a mist coat over a satin kitchen paint then a first coat of a different satin kitchen paint....all good until....it came to the second coat of paint. Lots of little bubbles appeared...why? So now do I have to strip the whole wall and put up new lining paper?

Called Southern Gas Supplies on the Emergency number, an engineer was at my house within 45 minutes, fitted a new regulator, he said that 'they all go' and that they had to replace them as standard whether they've packed up or not. Job done and most importantly free of charge! :lol:
Lately, when the heating has fired up the kitchen hob and gas fire only work at 50%. I have a 5 year old Worcester Bosch combi boiler that hasnt been serviced yet! Would the boiler have something to do with my problem and if so what would be the cause and would a service solve the problem?
I can only think thats what it is. However, the problem is the NRV cover is a stupid extra wide, thick groove, Too big for a screw driver especially as its soft brass. is there a special wide headed flat head screw driver to use on it?
