Piles of earth in my shed.

Thanks for that Ceres. The bird food, sunflower seeds, was in plastic tupper ware type containers and they eat through the seal of the lid, were it was thinnest. Biscuit tins from now on I think.

Piles of earth in my shed.

Having dug our way through it, checked all the shed, and looked carefully round the out side. We have found rat droppings inside the shed and burrowing out side the shed. I have put poison down. It was a random pile and how they got it in there I do not know. But rats it certainly is. The...

Piles of earth in my shed.

My shed has piles of earth about 2 to 3 feet high in it. It is on a concrete base and has a wooden floor. What can be causing them please. :( :( :? [/b]

    Ikea bathroom light

Hi. After your help last time, I have an ikea bathroom light to fit and would like any hints you can provide, especially on attaching the wires as they are not connected with a screw and the pictures are not very helpful. Do you just push them in? Thanks Lynne :D

    making safe a disused connection

Yes there is a galvanised socket box recessed in the wall. I can attach the blanking plate to this with screws. Do you think I should seal it with silicone as well? I have 30 am connectors already so I will use them. Thanks again. Lynne

    making safe a disused connection

Thanks that was very helpful. I think I will just put them in the connectors , behind the blanking plate.n That should be safe enough. Would disable the fuse but it is powering some sockets as well. Thanks once again.

    making safe a disused connection

think I might be too cautious with the electric. I am competent but cautious. With the connector block screws not being covered I want to make sure this is OK. I gather that it must be from what you have said. I meant earlier in this post (thread).

I contact with each other or the screws holding the plate on.. It is in a bathroom. Not by the bath

    making safe a disused connection

I have removed a dangerous electrical heater in the bathroom. Not able to reach from bath. I need to insulate with chocolate block connectors. Is this what was meant earlier on. If so how do you stop the brass screws getting in contact? If you see what I mean.
