    Volts x Amps = Watts

The wire size referred to in my original post is 1.5mm 21A. As far as I am aware the next size up in the Oceanflex marine grade (tinned) range is 2.5mm 29A Perhaps there is a 2mm? As I said in my original post this always confuses me. Mike

    Volts x Amps = Watts

Thanks for replies. Only 1 mast but 3 bulbs. At masthead there is a combined unit tricolour and anchor light. The tricolour has only 1 bulb but a triple colour lens. The anchor light has 1 bulb. The anchor light and the tricolour lights will never be used simultaneously. There is also a...

    Volts x Amps = Watts

Whenever I look for electrical cable I am immediately confused. I remember V x A = W from school 60 years ago. Situation is I need new wires for the navigation lights which are up my yacht mast. The boats electrical system is 12v and the light bulbs are 25w. Therefore according to the formula I...

Thanks all, Complicated issue indeed. I have always known Third Party Insurance (for the last 50 years) to be known as "Third Party Insurance". However it is clear there are other terms in common use nowadays describing the same thing. In my searches I came across a statement on Money Saving...

Third Party Insurance section of your policy/Insurance GENIUS needed!

Just dealing with my van insurance. Different companies seem to call the third party section of the policy different things - I have come across Public Liability or Liability to the public. Guess it all means the same thing? What is not the same is the level of cover different companies...

    Flexible tap tails?

I bought 2 cheap stainless steel taps off ebay for my boat and am looking to buy flexible tails. As it is not indicated on the box or in the ebay listing I am unsure what threads they are. The bore is about 16.5mm and the maximum diameter of the threads is a little under 20mm. I have looked up...

I have recently bought the above pressure washer and would like to fit a better and longer high pressure hose instead of the horrible one wound round the spool at the top. Additionally I would like to remove the top hose spool and have the high pressure hose connection at the base of the machine...

Small domestic electric start petrol pressure washer?

Hi, My Clark petrol pressure washer has just had a catastrophic failure - no complaints it must be about 30 years old. As I expect to be using its replacement into my 80's I thought it may be a good idea to buy one with an electric (key) start. Just wondering whether anyone can point me in the...

I have lost about 20 pantiles in the recent storm. Previously I have replaced with Sandtoft Greenwood which were circa £2 but a google has just revealed they are now £6 each. Just wondering whether anyone is aware of a similar pattern for about half that? Mike

    Plumbing GENIUS required

Terry, You are quite correct, all I need is a standard shut off valve/lever valve but when I looked for them 2 years ago they all had steel parts. That is why I bought the all brass fire valves. I have a major aversion to fitting something designed to fail. Mike
