having spend what seems like an age sanding down our old floor ready for applying polyx oil, we appear to have some tiny gaps between the blocks. is it realy work filling these in and what would be the best product, have ready plenty about using second sandings with PVA, but am a little bothered...

Thanks Daddym, went with instincts and used bal straight onto boards, all seems well.

one last question before I get going, does this backerboard need to be primed, and should the primer be left to dry thanks

Morning all, fantastic forum with great input from you all. I am laying 60cmx30cm black tiles and would welcome comments and experiences on the pattern for laying these. room is a knocked a through kitchen diner 6m x 3m. kitchen units are across one end and along one wall, L shaped :?
