Fit shower enclosure into previously tiled area

Hi, I'm moving a shower enclosure from one corner to another. In the new location the tiles are sound but will require some work as there is a small wiindow that I would like to convert to a niche. The wall is solid 9inch without cavity, which has been plastered over and then tiled. A lot of...

Insulated plasterboard or plasterboard with separate insulation board

@jeds Insulation has been added between the joists and sealed with foam. The roof void is not ventilated.

Insulated plasterboard or plasterboard with separate insulation board

Sorry, wasn't clear. I didn't mean a gap between the edges (which can be foamed/taped), but rather the surfaces of the two boards.

Insulated plasterboard or plasterboard with separate insulation board

The plasterboard will be screwed through the insulation board (PIR) into the joist. There maybe slight gaps between the two boards. Can this be an issue for mould ?

Height of outer wall, where should it end?

Hi, I'm preparing for a flat roof which slopes to the front. On the side there is a cavity wall, and I'm unsure where the outer wall should end. Must it meet the bottom of the OSB deck (as illustrated), eliminatting any gaps with compo or does a gap not matter?

    Boundry Gutter method

Here is the updated design that I plan to follow. The gutter is the standard uPVC although it will be the deep version.

    Boundry Gutter method

Thanks for the above. I was going to use a 1mm aluminium sheet to provide the flashing as I can bend it easily, and then add a few fixings to hold it in place. If I use lead, does it need to be code 3 or 4?

    Boundry Gutter method

Hi, Wondering if someone can help me with a gutter situation. I have a cavity wall on a kitchen extension, and the outer wall is on the boundary and I don't wish the gutter to overhang into the neighbours land. I've seen box butter but these are when there is a parapet wall, the external wall...

    Hidden Gutter with ventilation

Hi, I'm working on a vaulted ceiling. Currently I was considering, what I think is a cold roof (air gap above insulation), though I like the idea of a warm roof as it mostly eliminates the need for venting. If I stick to the original plan (cold roof) then I'm proposing to build as this...

    Hidden Gutter with ventilation

Hi, The wall is built against the boundary and I should not be overhanging the gutter, hence require gutter flush to the wall. Unfortunately I'm unsure how its done. I know sometimes square gutters made from ply and lined with lead are used or use of an aluminium square gutter. I was wondering...
