Hi,
I'm moving a shower enclosure from one corner to another. In the new location the tiles are sound but will require some work as there is a small wiindow that I would like to convert to a niche.
The wall is solid 9inch without cavity, which has been plastered over and then tiled.
A lot of the video's / tutorials use backer boards, is this required for a solid wall / my scenario?
Also, the tutorials waterproof the shower area before tiling, this is not done in this area - is this ok or a no no?
If the suggestion is to waterproof, the tiles will need to be removed carefully and re-fitted
Welome your thoughts on this - thanks
