OK i think a further inspection is needed in the daylight :-) You have any tips on clearing the blockage? it might be lumps of plaster or tile adhesive so no chemical will dissolve it

Hi Im about to plasterboard the bathroom, using dot and dab, but the boards aren't tall enough to do floor to ceiling using one board, therefore do I need to support them to the wall in some way? or will the adhesive hold it in place? Thanks
