Thanks Mr Duffer,
Tried food dye and after a few hours some drips but no colour. What I can't understand is how the water is coming from the small
opening at the bottom of the bowl. It's not coming from where the WC joins the wall nor dribbling down that side but the very bottom of the WC.
I have an Opaz wall-mounted pan and have a leak at the bottom. Not from the concealed cistern but from the round hole at the bottom center of the pan.
This has been slowly developing over the months and is now a steady drip. I'm not sure of the purpose of the hole. The water level in the WC...
Can I ask if I remove the stat from wall would that send a signal to supply heat or not.
If it’s the synchron motor jammed I understand it would still be on.
Thanks
Hello,
I have underfloor hot water heating with three zones each controlled by a separate
Horstmann HRT4-A thermostat. This morning one zone was very hot despite thermostat set to normal temperature and the red light was not on. Other two zones were fine. Can these stats fail always on...
I've applied every year. In this heat I don't think a fan would help. Paint is not wet but just tacky to touch like a post-it note.
slowly slowly getting better after three weeks.
I did sand down but not to bare wood, just to give a key.
Anyhow, thanks for all ideas.
Hi,
Using Rustins Danish oil over the years on a wooden kitchen top.
Cleaned, sanded lightly and cleaned again. Applied as instructed with cotton cloth.
Surface in places remains tacky even after two weeks of hot weather.
Is there any tip of the trade or product to make it dry out?
Many...
Dear Hot&Fit,
Great reply thanks.
You are right saying how heavy they are.
Of course plumber didn’t leave the guidance rod.
Just managed to unscrew left side of cable under sink, part insert bolt, wedge on books then re-tighten cable. Next time I’ll improvise that rod.
Sincere thanks
Peter
I had to remove the semi Ped to change the old tap.
The ped has a single hole in the bottom. The hanging nut is attached to a wire that's clamped to the top of the underside of sink.
It's impossible to align the nut with the bolt. Tried thin cord but still can not do it.
Does anyone have...
So here is what I did.
Didn't rake out fine hairline cracks. I filled with "Red Devil One Time lightweight ready mixed filler". Let dry and sanded.
Then touched up with two coats flexible polycell paint with a 1/2 " brush.
Looks great even before I repaint whole area. Time will tell weather...
Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can help with hairline cracks in 4 year old plaster painted with Dulux Trade Matt.
I thought they may have settled down by now but they almost vanish in winter but have reappeared now. Very very fine, smaller than a hair but curved lengths of 4 feet or so on...
What I do is turn the tin upside down for 10 minutes. The paint forms a good seal round the lid. Then I turn it the right way round. Seems to work well.
Never left it upside down though, my wife would turn it the right way anyway.
Thanks Burnerman,
I tried everything you said but flaked out at the carb. I might try adjusting the carb screws & return to where they were, may release something.
I have a 10 year old Petrol Hedge cutter that was working perfectly then stopped half way through the job. It now starts & idles okay but when I squeeze the throttle it fades & stops. I checked the spark plug & cleaned the gunky air filter.
Any ideas?
