...and can I stop it?
I live in an early 1970s mid-terrace. I don't share a chimney or a loft with my neighbours (each house has a separate roof) but when they smoke weed I can smell it in my house. In fact I've had visitors come in and say 'I didn't know you smoked weed'. I don't like the...
Many thanks. I know the other poster earlier said to put them 1-2m off the ground, but surely the higher up towards the roofline they are, the better? Or is there some reason to set them lower?
Do you mean one of these?

If not, could you post a link to what you do mean please?
My house is a mid-terrace with a strange roof design: instead of being one continuous roof, each house in the terrace has its own roof, like a shallow pyramid (way shallower than a regular pitched roof), with a flat, felted 'walkway' (for want of a better term) between each roof. I want to get...
Thanks. I wonder why I didn't find any? Also I should have said, mine needs to be outward opening and ideally not have any glass panels, or at least any glass panel big enough for a human to fit through after they've smashed it!
I've got a garage, built in the 70s. The side door is rotten, as is the frame. The 'hole' in the brickwork for the door and frame is 200cm x 93cm, which doesn't seem to match off the shelf UPVC doors and frames that I can find anywhere online. I'm not keen on having another wooden door, because...
But that's too tall (my aperture is 2007mm tall). The current door is 32 3/4 inches wide by 77 inches tall, so one of those door blanks looks the best bet so far. Either that or keep my eyes peeled for a second hand one. I don't mind if it's fifth hand, as long as it does the job!
The old door is wood and maybe 50 years old. I don't want the same kind of door, so is it helpful to see a picture of the old one? If you really think so I can take one. It's an external door, so it is exposed to the elements. The front door is a metal up and over type. There's only tools in...
I'd appreciate some advice or pointing in the right direction. The old wooden back door of my garage is rotting away. The aperture in the brickwork that the door and frame fits into is 36 inches wide by 79 inches tall (915mm x 2007mm).
I cannot find a door and frame set off the shelf to fit in...
The supplier said not to use anything solvent based and suggested silicone sealant. I stuck it with that and all was well - until the kitchen got very humid boiling up some veg. At which point the acrylic started to come away from the wall. So I've removed it and I'm back to square one. Has...
