Thanks very much for the advice. The house was built in the 1970's and I am refurbing it. I do need to catch up with the plumber who is a bit busy at the moment.
He has already installed the boiler and HWC (both not yet commissioned as waiting for incoming water main (upsized) to be...
Thanks for the reply.
As well as the WB system boiler, I have an "Telford Tempest Stainless Steel Indirect 300L Unvented Cylinder" for hot water.
So I need a programmer that does both HW and CH? Can someone recommend a model please, I like Honeywell and Danfoss (as they are easy to...
Hi everyone
I have bought a Worcester Greenstar 30CDi Classic System Boiler, but have not yet bought the programmer.
In my last house we had a Honeywell CMT927 and it worked very well indeed, and was so easy to understand. Do you know whether this unit will work with the WB 30CDi?
I see it...
Hello everyone
I want to convert my integrated garage (2m x 6m) in to a study and would be grateful for some advice re. the floor before I go out for quotes so I at least appear clued up! I am only worried about the floor at the moment - and will ask the builders later about walls etc.

Hi
I am spec'ing a ducted aircon system for my house (primarily for cooling). The system will be verified / installed / commissioned by an HVAC engineer holding the correct certificates.
There is an abundance of info on the Internet regarding spec'ing the cooling capacity/kw, however I need...
Thanks guys. I want to relocate the DB outside primarily for reasons of logistics/works programme. Current position is where a doorway will be cut so def has to move - garage will become part of a new kitchen diner. With so much going on and the kitchen/diner design far from being fixed...
It doesn't bother me. Previous property had the DB in the garage which also meant venturing outside. In the 18 years I lived there I could count on one hand the number of times the breakers tripped. In this new property it's more hassle the DB staying inside to be honest. Cheers
Hi
I recently moved to a new house that requires a total refurb.
The gas and electricity meters are currently located in a garage and will be relocated a short distance to an exterior wall for installation within separate suitable enclosures. Application forms have been sent to the DNOs - not...
Thanks for the reply. I am def interested. Please can I have more details, i.e. sizes. Is there any T&G at this thickness? Also, how difficult is it to cut with 1mm precision? Prices also please!
Thanks
Hi
I would like to clad a wooden staircase with real oak. Ideally I would like to use a 6 or 7mm board (which I imagine at this thickness will be all wood and no ply). I don't want to use the thicker boards (i.e. 15-20mm).
I was planning to fix the oak layer with proper Sika adhesive...
Hi
The staircase to my work in progress loft conversion is as follows:
4 steps, then 90deg winder box comprising 3 steps, then final 5 steps.
I would like to fit 2 sections of handrail rather than 1 long continuous length of handrail. Is this permitted by building regs? I have looked on...
Hi
The loft conversion is nearly complete and shortly the BCO will visit and sign off the works.
Once the works have been signed off and the BCO is gone I would like to clad the basic staircase from 1st floor to loft in oak boards (and also maybe the staircase from ground floor to 1st...
