Thanks - I have done this and pressure is at about 1.2. The same reading is showing on the gauge on the boiler too. I'll monitor this when the water is heating up to check if it rises by more than 1 bar.
Thanks once again for everyone helpful advice.
Thanks both. I have found the braided pipe with valves at either end in the airing cupboard. There is also a pressure gauge here too. The braided hose joins two pipes - the first pipe (A) also has a shut off valve on this pipe below the braded pipe (coming up from the boiler) and the other end...
I have a 7 year old Worcester Bosch boiler (not combi). I have recently bleed radiator which has meant a loss of pressure meaning that the hot water now won't heat up. I looked up various YouTube videos and mine doesn't have the have the same filling mechanism as all of the videos watched. Some...
I am hanging a run of 1500mm units 2 x 600 and 1 x 300 wall units in my utility room. The wall is unfortunately one of those Thermalite walls which separates the house and garage. There's plasterboard to finish with about 10mm gap between the two. I have decided to use a continuous rail to hang...
Thanks for your replies. Like I said I have scraped the outer cable - its sort of taken the top glossy finish off carving about 0.5mm off the edge over about 5mm - diameter of the bit. Will try and get a pic if I can.
Just putting up some cupboard and drilled where I thought was OK and have grazed the outer cable of some electric wire. The outer grey casing appears to be be very slightly grazed but is still covering the inner cables so it hasn't exposed anything and the circuit didn't trip. The cable moved as...
I have done this and all seems to be OK. Thanks.
The only difference now is lights are on left and fan on right but I can live with that!
Many thanks to everyone who took time to post - and my sincere apologies for not learning from my experiences. I promise to change!!
Currently - you mean before I took the old switch off? Sorry I really should have made more of a note of the wires. I had a similar problem a year or so ago which was answered on this thread...//www.diynot.com/diy/threads/confused-by-wiring-on-light-switch.409869/
Please ignore the...
Not as as far as I can see - have also noticed that light to landing is no longer working - I'm sure once the correct wiring is used this will probably work OK
The layout of the back of the old switch was significantly different - I have a similar problem before which was solved on here so I didn't think I would have had the same problem again.
