a friend of mine has just had their garage roof redone (new ply and felt) but the roofer has not put down any shingle on top, which they had on the old roof.
just wondering if its common practice still for a roofer to put the shingle down ? is it something they should be asking the roofer to...

we live in a 1930's house and the bricks are a nightmare im sure they used engineering brick to build the house !

however also sometimes needing to drill into masonry which i was finding a struggle with my other hammer drill, but i guess a combi drill would not do tough...
i have been doing a fair bit of diy over the last year and my wickes cheapo drill has now given up the ghost so i have decided to invest in a decent new drill

ok thanks alot ! so the screw heads should be vertical when the flow is stopped ?
then i unscrew the bolts on the right side and replace them with end caps after i have drained the rad ?

looking for some guidance as to how to remove the radiator in our conservatory
it is no longer wanted, so i will need to cap the pipes im guessing ? also will i have to drain the whole system ? not sure how to go about this if so

just had a quick look on screwfix and there are 100s of different hand saws on there
just wondering if someone could recommend me one i need to cut some pine (a newel, handrail and some spindles) want to get quite a nice finish but cant afford to spend too much
