Leak At Chimney After Neighbour's New Roof Put On

How much would this cost typically, for a competent roofer ? I am in Angus, Scotland.

Leak At Chimney After Neighbour's New Roof Put On

Are you saying the lead work all round the chimney or just down the left hand side ?

Leak At Chimney After Neighbour's New Roof Put On

Yes I am in Scotland. It's that gap between my chimney and the new tiles on the neighbour's roof that I think is the problem. So if I could get new flashing put on that side to cover over this gap then maybe that will solve it.

Leak At Chimney After Neighbour's New Roof Put On

A new roof was put on my neighbour's house recently and now there is a leak into the loft at my chimney. It seems the roofers haven't done the best of jobs and you can see the big gap between the tiles and my chimney. I want to try and resolve this myself if possible as the neighbour is very...

Does Short Circuit Damage Car Battery ?

It would have just went directly across the fuse, due to the nature of the short circuit. It would be the same effect as if two leads attached to the battery terminal accidentally touched momentarily. Just wondering if that causes damage to a car battery.

Does Short Circuit Damage Car Battery ?

I didn't notice any heat but the short circuit went through a fuse and the fuse blew out.

Does Short Circuit Damage Car Battery ?

I was thinking in terms of just a momentary short that lasted no more than about 1 - 2 seconds.

Does Short Circuit Damage Car Battery ?

If the two terminals of a car battery were accidentally short circuited by two leads connected to them would that damage the battery permanently in any way ?

    Green Colored Hook On Roof

There was a copper immersion heater at one time that sat directly under this hook in the kitchen on the floor below, so that sounds plausible. I think I will ask the roofer to remove it. It will probably result in a leak one day, it can move quite freely.

    Green Colored Hook On Roof

What is the purpose of this green colored hook on my roof ? It is hollow metal and protrudes into the loft about a foot and has cladding on it. Most of the houses in my area have one. It doesn't cause a leak but I can see some daylight when looking up at it from the loft. I have a roofer coming...
