Decommissioning siren on old Galaxy 8

If by any chance it's a texecom bellbox then the tamper on the bellbox can usually be disabled by turning the strobe on and off 3 times using the panels strobe test feature.

Slightly worrying cracks in walls, any advice?

Hi everyone, I've spotted cracks in several rooms within my house. Property was built in 1995 and is a detached home. Cracks are visible in the plaster only and do not run through to the external brickwork. The cracks have appeared below the bedroom window, below the landing window and around...

    Finding a SSAIB company

Ok, point taken. They are not a governing body and i should learn not to post first thing in the morning. They do however work with government bodies. Wooden sliding door - rotten sill repair

Hi everyone, The sill on our conservatory door is incredibly rotten. I believe it is due to lack of maintenance by the previous owner. As you can see the door rail/track appears to be integrated into the sill itself. What would be the easiest/best way to renew the sill? I'm pretty...

How to prevent door jamb rotting?

In that case it might not be load bearing, well not directly to the floor anyway as it is bolted to the concrete panels of the garage by 4 bolts per side if I remember correctly. So with that in mind I think I'll soak the ends in preserver as mentioned above, chop an inch or so above ground...
