Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

Great thank you. So just to confirm my understanding. The L and N wires which were in the same wago clip are both switched live? So I can use a 3 block connector (instead of 3) and light fitting's brown wire would then connect to these two wires? These block after this connection would have a...

Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

Yes, it was indeed the case. I have separated them now. and looks like Blue is switched live wire as shown in the picture. Nothing is being detected on the brown wire. You would already know but as a result of this separation of the wire, the right side light has stopped working.

Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

I see, I tested the blue wire again with switch turned on (marked N in the photo) and the current is being detected on that wire as well as on the Brown wire (marked L). Other two neutral wires connected in the same wago strip does not get any current. I am using the tester below.

Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

Single switch will control both lights. I am attaching the photo of the switch wiring. The switch on the left is for the outdoor lights.

Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

If that option was still there then I would have chosen that in first place.

Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

Yes you are right. I will test again in the morning using multimeter and if not then looks like it's best left for the electrician.

Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

I see, If one of the blue was a switch live then one of them should also be getting a current when I test it? None of the blue wires are getting any current like the live wire. Only the brown wires are showing a sign of getting the current.

Unable to connect outdoor light (issue with Neutral wire?)

I am trying to connect an outdoor light and struggling to fire it up. I already have a same downlight on the right side of the window and I am trying to add the exact same light on the left of the window. The light on the left was added by the builder when doing the extension and for some...

Foundations for extension near a taken down tree - help!

Thanks for replies. Does it still make a difference even if the tree is taken down and inactive? Since it was a fairly large tree, the roots will surely be around for several meters (atleast)

The extension downstair is going to extend kitchen and make an office space on the right side of existing dwelling. Upstairs, there will be two additional bedrooms. I agree about the benefits the structural drawings would bring. I am very clear on what I would like the finished product to be...
