One of the hob regulators needs to be replaced but I can't remove the glass faceplate which I need to do to gain access to the regulator fixing screws.
Can anyone please help ? :(
My bathroom measures 8'x5'. The ceiling has been covered with plastic panels. Four 240v downlighters have been fitted into the ceiling whch is obviously against the regs, but wherever the lights are fitted in a bathroom this small must be against the regs. My question is: if I change the...
I had a survey done with a view to having my combi boiler replaced when the question earth bonding came up.
The surveyor informed me that the pipes going into the unit would have to be bonded.
I have read a recent post by johnD that there is no reg. that says this must be done and I fully...

Hi there my drayton 711 timeswitch loses it's memory when power to c.h boiler is switched off. From what I understand from the instruction leaflet it should have battery back up for this eventuality. I have opened the unit up but can't find any sign of a battery or even where a battery may have...

Has...
I am having kettling and tripping out on overheat problems usually when using c/h and d/h/w at the same time. {intermittant fault)
The boiler is now 13 yrs old and the problem first ocurred at the beginning of 2006. I got the B/W engineer out and he renewed the w/w heat exchanger and the...
Existing cu is a six way wylex with rewireable fuses fed by 16 mm tails. A 10 kw shower is to be fitted in bathroom for the present, but in view of the fact that a future extension to the house is planned we thought it wise to replace the wylex with a ten way unit to include an 80 amp rcd. The...
