    I have resolved the problem now, but it has come up with another, Yes they came as a kit, light inside the fan. The light is always on now, so i guess i need to install either a pull switch or another outside switch, the fan is only on when the bathroom light is turned on so dont understant it.

    silicone, i get wickes own brand, its only about £5 and is exactly the same as others that you would pay alot more for. If you just go for the glue version you could buy, sticks like ****! its very good. and does what its names suggests

    have you tried twisting the silver bits around, (anti-clockwise) may need a bit of force, or twist the pipes around? make sure the water has been taken out of your hot water system beforehand
