Hi
I'm looking to buy one of these WC frames, any recommendations or benefits of one brand over the other?
Geberit are a little more expensive, but there isn't much in it.
Thanks
I have two pairs of internal French doors that need replacing.
The doors are 40mm thick and are a matched pair at 78"x48" with rebated styles.
The doors I would like to replace them with do not exist, the nearest is an XL Joinery matched pair that only come in clear glazing, not obscured...
The tiles are 10mm porcelain so fairly weightly, trouble is there is nothing exposed of the outer blue brick to rest them upon.
So 4" of tile would be resting on expanding foam filler in a farly high traffic doorway. I forsee movement and cracking issues.
Thanks for the suggestion, I am just a little concerned the expanding foam filler will not provide the stability to tile over.
The cavity is 4". My preferred option would be to fill with blue membrane and concrete.
Can anyone advise if this might cause damp problems?
Thanks
Morning
I have had a set of french doors put in where previously existed a window.
The house is about 17 years old and has a good size cavity. Trouble is the cavity appears on the inside of the house and I am not sure what to do with it.
I am having the floor tiled in a couple of weeks...
Hi
Just been ripping out a [flood damaged] kitchen where the gas meter is rather stupidly placed on the floor located inside a rather botched cabinet.
In my fervour to remove the ceiling a big lump of board came down on the meter and bent and holed the anaconda on the meter. The gas was...
I am sure you are all interested to hear the installtion is complete alsong with the removal of the unsightly 28mm copper and the old cables dangling from the side of the house.
In the end the fitters did a great job.
:D
Transpires there was a 22mm feed into the airing cupboard anyway [hate to say I told him so but I did], he just couldn't be bothered to lift the floor boards to find out.
What up with a WB boiler anyway?
I agree it gets the job done, but it looks no good.
The instruction to the fitter was not to worry about internal mess as the house is in a state, he has also got to chop out a 22mm cold feed through the fabric of the house.
Consultation would have been a better option as he will now have...
Hi
I came home from work to find a good length of 28mm copper growing up an exterior wall.
Obviously this new 'feature' pleased me greatly, have a look at the picture:
Fair enough I decided to relocate the boiler to the opposite end of the house, but to slap this up the exterior wall...
Hi
I am getting a Megaflo installed in a couple of weeks time along with a new boiler etc.
It just occurred to me the shower in the bathroom is pumped and has a little electric on/off switch. What will happen when the old cylinder/headers tanks are ripped out and the Megaflo goes in...
