Hi, I have exactly the same problem on my vaillant vcw 282. I have BG coming out tomorrow to have a look.

It's normally the pcb module that packs up on these. Quite easy to replace.

A simple " yes " would have sufficed......

Are any of the people giving " advice " qualified electricians ? :roll:

Could be thermal cut-out or not enough water pressure :)

I was in a similar boat recently. To be an Electrician you need C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2 , NVQ 3 & AM2 ! The company I did the NVQ3 with wouldnt release the cert until I had passed the AM2 ! * Strokes gold card * :D

Sounds like the input stat. I not sure if you can get bits for these anymore.

Whats the make & model? Sounds like a cut-out to me..... :D

No probs :D If your not confident about checking the inlet filter perhaps leave for someone else to do. My suggestion would be to call manufacturer, they should be able to recommened a local agent ( who should stock most of the parts & would have repaired these before ) to repair the...

Have you checked the inlet filter/gauze for debris? This is located on the inlet solenoid. If this is blocked it wont work properly. :roll:

Pretty sure these have a 2 yr warranty :wink:
