Hi,
Hope you guys can help.
I went to a call out to a Gledhill Pulsacoil A-Class 235 ltr.
The unit has been boiling its head off and creating steam which has peeled off the paint in the airing cupboard !
Ive checked the header tank which is filled to the correct level.
Ive checked it over and im not 100% sure what the problem is.
Its either the sensors, pcb or relays.
Any ideas?

Hope you can help.

Its either the sensors, pcb or relays.
Could be any or all of those things, although a relay with contacts welded closed is likely.

This is the manual: http://www.gledhill-response.net/documents/PulsaCoilAClass-Iss9.pdf
which contains the wiring diagram, basic tests can be done with the power off which will identify most obvious failures.
Spares can be obtained, but they are expensive.
In some instances, generic parts can be fitted instead for a fraction of the cost. Obviously this means the useless warranty is no longer valid.

If you get Gledhill Response or whatever the company that repairs these things is called now, they will probably charge you £300 and just swap the PCB. Until the next failure, when you can pay another £300 and repeat endlessly.
As for other repairs - good luck finding anyone who will even look at these contraptions.

These appliances are unreliable due to their over complex design, and honestly you should be looking to replace it with some much simpler and cheaper alternatives.

Old post but whenever I get called to a pulsacoil the power relays have melted as have the wires going to them.... It's not a bad job to sort out.
