    Sorted, I knocked the metal bracket up to expose the glass as the bracket was sitting too low the seal now fits, problem solved.

    Yes I don't trust just brick it will crumble like this has so annoying, if i remove those bricks its 7cm deep just enough for a fence post width set it in cement get it level and bolt it at each end, make it a snug fit so it supports the 2 posts.

    Need to sort my driveway gate out, it normally locks at the bottom into some holes in brick but the bricks are always breaking when i bring my car in, is there any harm in digging up the bit in red all the way across and cementing in a wooden beam bolted in at each post ? ps gate needs painting.

    That's how the old fan was, so i'm fine with it coming on when the lights switched on, at a later date i may get an electrician to wire in a seperate switch for the fan, made hell of a difference to steam this fan.

    Sorted, it was a red sheathed cable which had brown and blue which is switched live and neutral works with the bathroom light, switch light on and the fan goes, turn light off and the fan goes off with the light.

    Yes i've had a look online and it seems its a good idea i will do the same, looks like someones bodged this in, before we moved into the house, kitchen ceiling is in bit of a mess is it worth putting a heater under the bath in case anything is still damp.

    Having trouble with my L shaped bath which has a very heavy glass screen for the shower. Basically we had a leak so i took the screen off and put some seal at the back of the bath, i let it set and then tested it, no leak, I put the screen back on and it starts leaking at the back of the bath...
